About Me

I’m Charlotte, a student psychotherapist in the final year of advanced Transactional Analysis (TA) training. As part of my accredited training, I offer affordable therapy under regular clinical supervision and am a UKCP trainee member.

I have experience working with clients at an affordable counselling organisation and currently work within a drug and alcohol charity.

I practice in line with the EATA Ethical Code and am committed to ongoing clinical supervision, personal therapy, and continuing professional development, ensuring I offer a safe, ethical, and thoughtful therapeutic space.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

I work using Transactional Analysis (TA), which helps make sense of how past experiences can influence how we think, feel, and relate to others. This might include exploring different parts of yourself, noticing the expectations or pressures you place on yourself, and looking at where these come from. The aim is to help you develop more choice, self-awareness, and self-compassion.

Alongside talking therapy, I may also use practical explanations, creative ways of working, body awareness, or inner-child-focused work if this feels helpful for you. Everything we do is guided by your needs, and we move at a pace that feels right for you.

I may draw on TA concepts such as:

Ego States (Parent, Adult, and Child) to understand different parts of your inner experience

Drivers and injunctions to explore unconscious expectations and self-pressure

Re-decision work to support new ways of responding and relating

Relational needs to address the impact of early attachment experiences
